Our 2026 Annual Exhibition, celebrating 140 years of the New English Art Club, will take place at Mall Galleries from 11 to 20 June.

Admission £7, Free for Friends of the NEAC, Friends of Mall Galleries and under 25s.

Celebrating the NEAC’s 140th anniversary, this year’s exhibition honours the legacy of past masters while reaffirming the continuing relevance of observational painting in a contemporary context. The show will present hundreds of paintings and drawings by member artists, alongside a selection chosen through open submission.

Works by John Nash and his brother, Paul, exemplifying the NEAC’s commitment to close observation of the world around us, will feature prominently. Their practices - shaped by direct experience, and by themes of conflict and the human condition - will form the focus of this year’s NEAC Annual Lecture. In response to the escalating climate crisis, the NEAC is also highlighting the urgent need to engage with our changing environment through the NEAC Climate Emergency Prize.
