Anthony Eyton OBE RA HNEAC PS Hon ROI is a British painter whose work is rooted in sustained observational practice, developed over a career spanning more than seven decades.
He studied at Reading and Camberwell before an Abbey Major Scholarship took him to Italy, and later taught for many years at the Royal Academy Schools. His painting has been shaped by extensive travel, major commissions and long‑term residencies, including work for the Imperial War Museum, the Government Art Collection and the Eden Project. Elected a Royal Academician in 1986, he continues to live and work in London.
