Exploring the Still Life: 1-day workshop with Jason Line: 155A Gallery, London
A one day drawing and painting workshop focusing on the theme of the still life and the interior.
Students will be invited to either draw and paint an array of different still life set-ups of their choice from fruit, vegetables and flowers to ceramic pots and glassware or if they like, the interior of the gallery itself with it’s assorted paintings and furnishings. The gallery is situated on two floors.
The aim of the workshop is to give students the chance to further develop their looking and understanding of drawing and painting concerns such as tone, colour, composition, space, proportion and perspective.
This workshop is suitable for students of all abilities.

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Jason Line is a painter and has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad. Solo exhibitions include ‘From the Studio’ at MARCH Fine Art, San Francisco in 2021 and ‘Setting the Scene’ at 155a Gallery, London in 2023 . He will be having a second exhibition at 155a gallery later this year. Open exhitions include the BP Portrait Award, National Portrait Gallery, The Discerning Eye, The Lynn Painter Stainers Award, The Royal Society of Portrait Painters and The London Group. He has exhibited with the New English Art Club (NEAC ) for many years and was made a member in 2021.

WHAT TO BRING
Easels and drawing boards are provided but students are asked to bring the drawing and painting materials of their choice.
