Dramas at Hertford House: half-day workshop with Paul Newland: Wallace Collection, London

Spend an afternoon with tutor Paul Newland, looking at pictures and sculptures embodying drama, of one kind or another. In this collection there are assassinations, hunting scenes, domestic events; even 'nature morte' can get pretty edgy.
You will be drawing from two or three chosen works, looking more deeply, isolating elements of compositions.
All levels of experience are welcome.
ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Paul Newland makes paintings which essentially combine memory with imagination and observation. His works often evolve over a long period of time in an on off sort of way. More recently he has begun to paint outside in oil paint where chance and accident have become part of his working process. Paul is also a member of the Royal Watercolour Society and has exhibited widely. He has won many awards, including The Discerning Eye Purchase Prize in 2014.
