Along the River: 1-day plein air workshop with Paul Newland: Southbank, London
Whether painting or drawing, the aim is to describe what’s going on along London's Southbank: people, architecture, and spaces.
In this one-day workshop, tutor Paul Newland will help students to make studies which expand their awareness and show what they have seen in this place of contrasts and activity.
ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Paul Newland makes paintings which essentially combine memory with imagination and observation. His works often evolve over a long period of time in an on-off sort of way. More recently he has begun to paint outside in oil paint where chance and accident have become part of his working process. Paul is also a member of the Royal Watercolour Society and has exhibited widely. He has won many awards including The Discerning Eye Purchase Prize in 2014.
