Artist Statement

Anthony paints in oils and watercolour and also crafts pictures in pastels. Besides landscapes, he is a most accomplished portrait painter. He travels widely to capture the detail of the topics he chooses to paint and finalises the works at his studio in rural Herefordshire. Whilst exhibiting at many other venues, Anthony has been a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Method Of Working

Painting by direct observation. Having been trained in the 50s and 60s art education, in those days was based on a traditional approach which has been the way artists have been taught in centuries past. Light is all important to the interpretation and thus the final work.
