This three week course will take you through some of the most important things a painter should know when drawing and painting people from life.
Experienced painter Julia Hawkins, ROI NEAC will talk about composition, proportions, tone and construction of the head. You will be learning how to define the details and later to unify the drawing and painting.
Several demonstrations will cover all topics from drawing the head to painting it from life. Students will also be studying and discussing works by Masters as well as modern painters.
In conclusion at the end of this course you should be able to tackle the portrait from life to give a realistic impression of the sitter.
