THE HEATHERLEY SCHOOL OF FINE ART, LONDON
This 1-day workshop will encourage students to build their drawing on a solid foundation as developed by master artists for centuries.
Students will be given an understanding of the elements of proportion, line, value, form and volume. Human anatomy will be touched upon to help to resolve their work. This will include a short demo by the tutor.
ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Julia Hawkins is an exhibiting painter and tutor with long term experience particularly in portraiture. She regularly teaches drawing and oil painting in Surrey as well as in London.
WHAT TO BRING
A2 drawing paper, range of graphite pencils.
There is a basic materials shop on site if required. There are tea and coffee making facilities on site and cafes nearby - but you might want to bring a packed lunch.
