125 anniversary of the NEAC

The first exhibition of the New English in 1886 immediately established the NEAC as a strong voice. During the entire 20th Century, in spite of waves of movements that pulled the art world in many directions, the club’s artists held to their commitment to figurative art.

THE BIG DRAW 1 to 31 October

October 2013 will be Big Draw month in twenty countries and on five continents. Launched in 2000, this annual initiative has grown from 160 events in the UK to almost 1500 worldwide. Big Draw events use drawing to connect people of all ages with museum and gallery collections, urban and rural spaces and the wider community – in new and enjoyable ways. There are now an estimated 200,000 participants annually.

Big Draw organisers include artists, teachers and staff at national, regional and local museums, galleries, libraries, heritage sites, parks, schools, care homes, hospitals, shopping and community centres.

Why not organise a Big Draw?

Register now and you will find guidance on planning and organising events. Find out more about this year's theme, Draw Tomorrow, or choose your own.

Every Big Draw season offers unlimited scope for those who love to draw and those who think they can’t. Find out more >>
