Neil Pittaway - The Magic of Drawing
Morning talk: 11.30am–12.30pm
Afternoon talk: 2pm–3pm
Demonstration throughout the rest of the time and day
Neil will talk about and demonstrate his love for drawing and the magic that he finds when creating his very complex concepts and ideas. Through this Neil Will also talk about his process particularly through his approaches to drawing and his use of using traditional dip pen and ink to create highly detailed, complex historical, architectural, and other works.

Toby Ward - Action: The Art of Painting the Moving Figure

Over the last 30 years, Toby Ward has made a career working with the moving figure either at work or at play. Toby will talk about this aspect of his work, what inspires it and how he goes about making these paintings and drawings.

Andrew James - Designing and Painting a Portrait Sketch in Oils
1pm–5pm
A three-hour demo which will include some preparatory drawing beforehand, and an hour's Q & A after the demo.

MONDAY 4 JULY 2022
Starting at 11.30am and spaced throughout the day.
- The Changing Relationship between Artists and Galleries
This will look at the profile of The New Grafton, whereby Artist profiles were nurtured, and commissions justified by the careful growth of the individual through to changing shopping habits and the online model increasing in dominance.
- The Perception of Narratives
Looking at the way people perceive their own experience and memories whilst engaging with the visual world.
- The Process of Sketchbooks
This will look at how sketchbooks are used in Robert's work as an ongoing form of reference and evaluation.
This session will also involve a couple of freehand sketches of work in progress, and an opportunity to see one of Robert's leather-bound books being made.
