'Surface, Collage and Drawing' 1-day workshop with Peter Clossick NEAC PPLG

Morning session: This experimental life drawing workshop will begin with a talk and presentation about Perspective, Tone and Values, followed by rapid sketching and short poses from the model using charcoal.

Afternoon session: Students will work from the model with collage and drawing, using torn paper and pritt stick glue. The day will finish with a plenary session. 

About your tutor: Peter Clossick studied at Camberwell School of Art and Post Graduate at Goldsmiths. He is also a member and past president of The London Group. His paintings engage on the encounter between viewer and object as a conversation, through scale, texture and form to prompt an immediate visceral response. He has exhibited widely and was recently runner up in both The Lynn Painter Stainers and Columbia Threadneedle prizes.

Charcoal, rubber, Sketchbook or white A2 drawing paper, plus black and grey paper, a tube or two of Pritt Stick glue. Black and grey paper can be sourced from magazines / newspapers, or purchase black / grey sugar paper. There is a materials shop on site if needed.

There are tea and coffee making facilities on site and cafes nearby - but you might want to bring a packed lunch.
