Ken Howard & Friends - The Auction

Royal Academician Ken Howard, arguably this country’s best loved artist, has invited his friends to join him in an Auction to help raise awareness of the plight of the children living in remote villages in Darfur. The artists taking part are all either Royal Academicians, members of the Royal Watercolour Society or members of the New English Art Club and are amongst the most celebrated artists in this country. Ken Howard & Friends – the Auction will be held on Thursday 26th October 2017 at the John Bly Gallery, King’s Road, London. (With a Private View on Thursday 19th October)

“I am more grateful than I can say” said Patricia Parker, Founder of Kids for Kids. “This is a rare opportunity to see works by our leading artists shown together.  To have a chance to buy them is exceptional.    It is a real honour and very touching that such famous artists want to help the forgotten children of Darfur.”

The proceeds of the auction will be split between the artists themselves and Kids for Kids.  It will include some of our top artists’ finest works.   The Auction is the inspiration of Ken Howard following his participation in the successful 'Drawn…to Darfur' Kids for Kids auction of celebrity art in 2012 which raised £75,000 and enabled Kids for Kids to adopt a whole community and build a Kindergarten. “This is a chance for people to snap up pictures that would not normally be accessible for many of us to buy”  said Patricia. “I was lucky enough to buy two of the celebrity works of art in 2012 and love them. I am keeping my fingers crossed I will be lucky in October!”
