'Approaches to imaginative drawing & watercolour painting' 1-day workshop with Neil Pittaway

Join Neil Pittaway for this 1-day workshop that will immerse you in the wonderful mediums of drawing and watercolour through exploring imaginative ideas, processes, skills and techniques and will teach you how to approach and explore these elements through a series of mini skills set techniques leading to more sustained finished work(s).

You will be taught a variety of imaginative drawing and watercolours skills and techniques from the conventional to the more experimental techniques in a range of contexts. You will gain confidence in the art of imaginative drawing and painting in watercolour; explore techniques including abstract and romantic and or other painting /drawing styles, and be able to Investigate these creatively through accidents and intuition. As the day progresses you will be able to apply some or all of the techniques learnt to start to create and develop your own ideas in drawing and or watercolour painting ready for your own further specific areas of interest and artistic development later.

How will I be taught? The course will be taught through a series of mini demonstration supported by 1-1 tuition and group discussion. There will also be the opportunity to socialise with like-minded people with a chance to share ideas and discuss your work with a plenary session at the end of the day.

Is this course right for you: If you want to learn how to draw or paint exploring imaginative subjects in drawing and watercolour, learn new techniques and improve your skills, with supportive expert tuition, then this is the course for you.
