This will be followed by a variety of short drawing exercises, both indoors and outdoors (subject to weather). There will then be an opportunity to develop information gathered in the form of a larger studio work in any medium. The workshop will finish with an overview of the day.
About your tutor: Robert E. Wells NEAC RBA is a Yorkshire-born artist, known for his cityscape paintings as well as rural landscapes and figurative works. He finds inspiration in the unusual aspects of everyday life, encouraging the viewer to create their own narrative interpretations of his often ambiguous and sometimes conflicting imagery. member of the New English Art Club and The Royal Society British Artists, he regularly exhibits his work in solo shows.

£60.00 (+ booking fee) for the day
There is a 10% discount for Friends of the New English and students with an appropriate student number booking online. If you are a student you will be asked to provide your Student ID at the workshop. If you are eligible for a discount please email classes@neac.co.uk stating which discount you are eligible for and you will be emailed a special code to use when booking your tickets.

Students should bring: Sketchbooks preferably with some pages sealed and underpainted, any painting /drawing materials relevant to the specific individual. Panel or canvas (any size), sealed and underpainted if required. Cameras, Ipads etc welcome.
There is a materials shop on site if required.
There are tea and coffee making facilities on site and cafes nearby - but you might want to bring a packed lunch.
