The first exhibition of the New English in 1886 immediately
established the NEAC as a strong voice. During the entire
20th Century, in spite of waves of movements that pulled
the art world in many directions, the club’s artists held to
their commitment to figurative art.

NEAC News 2009
|
We were all deeply saddened to hear of the death of our very distinguished colleague Leslie Worth on the 21st July 2009.
Salliann Putman made this tribute:
"In my opinion Leslie Worth was simply the best watercolour painter in the country if not the world. His integrity and dedication to his work were second to none. He was an intellectual of the highest order and this spilled over into his work. At the same time he had a great sense of humour. And with such qualities he remained a very modest man."
