The New English Movement

The New English represents the very best of contemporary British figurative painting. It is one of the foremost exhibiting art societies. There are about 70 members, half of whom are women artists. Figurative painting includes all painting that is based on nature - on representation of the visual world.

Our members are all leading contemporary UK artists producing fine original art. Most members of the New English are represented on this site. You can find out about their work and lives and see some samples of their work. A large number of the artists have original art and other art related items for sale. These items can be found at the NEAC Trading Company shop.

The New English Art Club website gives you the opportunity to view the work of many of the finest British artists working in the figurative way - and through links, to a large number of artists beyond the Club's membership.
