Biography - Anthony Green
1939 Born in Luton
1951 Educated at Highgate School, London
1956-60 Studied at the Slade School of Fine Art
1961 Married Mary Cozens-Walker
1969-61 French government scholarship to Paris
  Lived in Paris and Chateauroux
1967-69 Harkness Fellowship to USA
  Lived in Leonia, New Jersey and Altadena, California
1971 Elected Associate of The Royal Academy
1977 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Exhibit of the Year
  Elected Royal Academician
1991 Elected Fellow of University College, London
1996 Shortlisted for Jerwood Painting Prize
2000 Appointed Trustee of the Royal Academy.
2003 Elected to New English Art Club

Anthony Green has enjoyed very extensive world wide press coverage since 1962. Features have included two full-length British TV documentaries (which have been shown as far away as Australia) and numerous newspaper and radio interviews at home and abroad.

He has also co-written a book with Martin Bailey: "A Green Part of the World" published in 1984 by Thames & Hudson.
